I thought some of you would be interested in a free printable for the banner hanging on my mantel.
It is super easy to make. I made mine in about 20 minutes and if you're like me you have all the supplies on hand, making this a free project.
Step One- print the letters: click on the links below and print
*make sure you print the letters on the landscape paper setting.
I printed on brown paper but you could use off white, orange, yellow, or what ever you have that you think will look good.
Step Two - cut out your letters. I left a small border.
Step Three - cut slits in the top corners. You could also use a hole punch.
Step Four - Thread your ribbon through the openings.
That's it, you're ready to hang and enjoy.
Thanks so much for the printable banner! I'm going to put this on Crafts & Sutch FB page, so others can come take a peek! :)

has anyone made this yet? I cannot get it to print! My printer feeds the paper through, but no ink on paper. Checked ink cart. and it is full. Did I not download the file correctly? help!
ReplyDeleteAmy, I'm not sure what is happening. I know a few people have been able to print successfully. If it shows up in your print preview correctly it should print. I'm not the best with computers, I wish I could help more. Good Luck.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing..

I Printed mine on a copper-ish scrapbook paper from Michaels and my Husband loves it so much he said we'll use it year after year. I also received several compliments on FB for it too!
ReplyDeleteTHANKS!
This article was extremely interesting, especially since I was searching for thoughts on this subject last Thursday.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED this banner!!! Here's what mine looked like: http://arlingtonmama.blogspot.com/2010/11/give-thanks-banner.html
ReplyDeleteThe only problem now is that I really want one for Christmas *hint-hint*. ;)
Thanks, again. It was beautiful. My hubby even loved it!
I was hoping to print out your lovely banner on alternating colors of paper, but would need the letters in different combinations. In other words, I'd like to print the G and H on the same paper. Is there a way to either print each letter individually or to mix up the order? I am not at all computer savvy and have been working on this for the better part of an hour now. I love your banner as is, I am just trying to use some cardstock that I already have on hand. Thanks so much!!!
ReplyDeleteFeaturing this on my blog today! Love it!

This is pretty random, but I bought the Thanksgiving blocks (with the vintage images sticking up) that is on top of your mantle at a thrift store. But 2 letters are missing. Would it be possible if I found out which letters that you could take a picture of yours and send me the photo and I could possibly print it out and paste over some blocks to complete my set? Sorry if this is random. Thanks for your help!
ReplyDeleteLove this banner!! I especially love the vintage blocks on your mantel. Can you let me know where I can buy some too?

ReplyDeleteI printed these out last year without a hitch and now something has happened. I am having printer problems too. After I download it goes to some google page and only half a letter is on each page. I wish I had saved them last year. Boo hoo!
ReplyDeleteGoogle sucks eggs sometimes.
Is there a way to email me the files for the Give Thanks letters? Google is not fully downloading them, so I am unable to print the full size. Cassie.Greenway@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks for the printable! I downloaded each doc, opened the picture file, clicked print, and clicked the box "Fit picture to frame". It went off with out a hitch. Now I just have to cut them out. Lol.
