Handmade Trade

Marcia from Ant Knit made these amazing crocheted animals. We made a trade. I gave her a couple boxes of THESE in return. I know, I got the better end of the deal. I still owe her.

My oldest girl requested a giraffe. If you ask me this is just amazing. Seriously it's the cutest thing. She hasn't put it down in two days.
This shark was for my son.
A whale for Kate. I love the water spouting.
And a chick for the baby.
I've had them since January but decided to wait for Easter to give them out. I was surprised at how excited my kids were over them. Up against a basket of candy and toys, my kids treasured these most. They kept talking about how special they were and how much work had gone into making them. I was one proud mama that my kids recognized and preferred handmade.

Thank You Marcia!

  1. My mouth was grateful for the chocolate even if my hips weren't! I am forever in Lydia's debt for asking for the giraffe because he has become one of my most favorite and also most loved by others. :)

  9. Those are SO cute. I am feeling guilty now, I haven't crocheted anything for my kids in ages. I'm sure they'd appreciate them now more than they did when they were 2 and a baby and I was actually making stuff for them.
