It's purse week over at a lemon squeezy home. I was thrilled to have an excuse to finally make an upholstery purse. I've been wanting one for like a year and bought some fabric several months ago. I never made it a priority even though my old purse is falling apart. So thank you Christie for helping me make this a priority.
I used the no. 107 Shoulder bag pattern from Sewing With Me. It was my first time buying a pdf pattern and I paid $8. That was a big deal for me, but I really love this fabric and I didn't want to mess it up. I liked the pattern. I had to make a few adjustments and wish I would have made one more. Still I would recommend this or any of her other cute patterns.
Did I mention I love this fabric. I bought it at a warehouse I visit for under $5.
I added to pockets to the inside. It's the perfect size. Large enough for my wallet, a diaper, wipes and a few other items, but not big enough to lose things in.
Now that I've posted I'm dying to go use it.
The purse turned out wonderfully. The fabric is so fun. What a great find. Enjoy!
