School Attire-Part Three

For this back to school refashion, I got two shirts out of one skirt.

The Before:
The top of the skirt is shirred so I was able to use it for the bodice of this shirt.
This was my first time making sleeves like this. It was so easy, I'll probably be doing it a lot now.
For Kate's top I had to improvise since I was out of material. I shirred my own bodice and used a woven trim for the sleeves.
They'll be great while the temperatures are still hot, but should still work with a cardigan in the winter.

Wow I am so impressed. I like doing this sort of thing too but I am no where near as knowledgeable as you! Did you have a pattern for those sleeves? Would you mind sharing the basic shape required for the ruffle sleeve cap portion?

These shirts are adorable. I am really enjoying the school refashions!

Is the first sleeve something you can explain? I was hoping to add that to an apron, but I don't have a pattern for it. thanks if you can!

I'm not a big commenter... (spelling?) but I thought I'd tell you that your blog has become one of my favorites. I can't actually do any of it, but I get a kick out of watching how you can change something average into something adorable. Good stuff!
