Cheating

I have another sneak peak of the bitty baby twin outfits that I'm working on for my daughter's birthday.

I've been stressing about how to make good detailed boy clothes for her little boy.  I wanted him to have something besides plain pants and shirts. I got so excited when I found this little 0-3 month, faux levi jacket at Walmart on clearance for $3.  It was still to big for the doll but I knew it would be easy to size down.

I used my little pattern as a guide to cut it to size.

Then I unstitched the bottom band and reattached it, lining up the snaps in the front.

I followed the curve from the arm hole when I cut the sleeves to a shorter length.

Then I reattached the sleeves and sewed up the sides.

That's it. Super easy. I think I did it in under 30 minutes.
I love that it only cost $3 instead of the fortune AG would charge.

One more thing...
I can't stop thinking this little boy could be a baby Justin Bieber. Maybe I'll talk her into naming him accordingly. Am I weird?

p.s. I was at Walmart again today and they still had a ton if you were interested.

Check out THESE super cool parties I link to.
