Striped Maxi Dress

I am loving the trends of stripes and maxi dresses right now. Since I'm scared to make myself clothes, I had to make a striped maxi for my daughter.

I like the way it moves when she walks.

She likes the way it moves when she twirls.

And although it works great with a jacket in the spring, I really made it for her to wear this summer.

I was worried it would be too long to play in. But she didn't seam to have any trouble when I set her loose.

Darling! I'm with you though, it's scary to sew clothes for myself because every woman fits so differently and uses up more yardage than kid's clothing! So I've had some catastrophes that were major bummers because I was out some money too! I've had good luck with knit rollover waistband skirts though! I need to make more for this summer!

So cute! I was just looking for a tiered dress just like this to sew for my 5 yo daughter. Do you have a pattern?

That dress looks perfect for summer. I love the twirl factor. It would look adorable on an adult too.
