Personalized Face Plates

Here is my SYTYC project from week 3:For the kitchen
I'll be telling you how I made it next week.

I wanted to create something fun for the kitchen. Something to make mealtime more enjoyable for everyone. Something that would replace crying and threatening with laughter and smiles. These Personalized Face Plates did just the trick.

I've been wanting a " Food Face" for a long time. But, I didn't want a mass-produced plate, I wanted something personalized. I thought it would be more fun to dress and eat from the faces we already know and love.

Grandpa's face is especially special since we lost him to cancer a few years ago.
My kids have shown everyone who enters the door their new toys and talk about who's face they want to eat next.

Oh these make me cry, I knew they had to be you. You are just the sweetest. I love your craftiness, but your love of family is beautiful. If I send you pictures would you make me some, I have NO talent for faces.

Cha Cha

Also love the dresses up there, I saw those same shirts at my Wally and never thought twice about them.

Oh, about the picture on my blog, I'll tell you a little secret, I am a hairstylist in my real life so I get paid to know how to make people look different. I apply the knowledge to myself, sometimes a little to often. But rest assured none of those looks are what I look like most days. Most days it is hat hair, no makeup and sweats, lets face it my kids don't care and would rather I spend time with them and not on my looks. So now you know my secret.

These are such a great idea! Maybe it would get my kids to eat their veggies if I made these.
