Every Crafter needs an inspiration board in their space. I thought I would customize mine with these push pins.
I made the pins using my new favorite thing, Shrinky Dinks. I don't know why, but I only found out about Shrinky Dinks a month ago. Crazy, right, everyone is telling me they used them in elementary school. Well, not me. I love them because the possibilities are endless and they are so cheap. I bought a package for just a few dollars and have already made a zillion things with that one package.
After drawing and coloring my pictures I baked them, let them cool and super glued them to tacks. You can use plain old thumb tacks. I had tacks with a fat head on them, that made them stand out. I can't remember where they came from, but I'll look into it.
They make me smile. I love using them to hang my pictures, to-do lists and sketches.

BINGO! This is what I want! (well, not to steal yours, but can I commission some of my own? purdy please?)
This is why I love you, this is why I will continue to love you. You alway make me smile with your projects, I too have never used shirky dinks. I have heard of them, but never understood. The light is now on and I will have to try to do something with them. I will keep you updated.

So cute! Last year, I read about people using take-out containers to make their own Shrinky Dinks jewelry.
those are so fun!
Great idea i love it and will ahve to try it. Your designs are really sweet. I thought at first they were rubberstamps. The set would make a really cute rubber stamp set. Your are very talented.
Now I have an incredible urge to go out and buy Shrinky Dinks. I love your push pins.
What a great use for shrinky dinks! I didn't know they still made them.
Cute!
Thank you for sharing at Thursday's Treasures!
Come share again this week!
I LOVE these! They totally got my vote over at SYTYC (and I'm not just saying that)
OMG! Thank you for the great idea. I got Shrinky Dinks every year for Christmas as a child. (By lunch on Christmas day they were all done and in the oven ....LOL)
Great idea!
I'm guessing you used the Shrinky Dink paper for your printer & printed out your images?
