Oversized Candlesticks

I found these candlesticks at the thrift store last week. I thought they could be fun with some new paint.
Here they are with the new paint:
I painted them red to match my rug. Plus I was thinking they would be fun for Valentines day.
I like the scallops on this one.
My daughter really wanted a picture with the candlesticks. This shows just how big they are.
What do you think? I can't decide if I love them. Maybe when I find the perfect place for them.

Love that last picture! Of course the candlesticks look great too. I bought some hideous bright blue candlesticks and painted them glossy black and I just love them. Gotta love paint! It is a good friend! Hahaha

Kathleen,
THOSE ARE HUGE! Your daughter looks like a babydoll behind them! I think they would be pretty on the hearth of your fireplace.
I also LOVE your rug! Great transformation!
Sorry I am so late. As it ended up, we did have a (6 hour) 2AM-8Am stint in the ER with my son. Praise God, all is ok. But,it's taken me some time to recover from being up all night. Alas, I am late in getting around to everyone this week. My apologies.
Sincere thanks for linking up to Tales from Bloggeritville Thrifty Thursday!

They are ginormous but I do love them. I would just want to shabby them up a little with a little sand paper.
