jedi in training

Our little Jedi turned eight.

His friends were invited to join him and become a Padawan at Jedi training.

We set the scene.

And dressed them in robes.

The first order of business at training was arming our students.  Each padawan was able to make his own weapon.

Next came light-saber training.

It's a good thing, because we had a visitor.

He was no match for our army.

A picture of the victors.

Why not celebrate with cake and ice cream?

A wish for peace and justice in the Galaxy.

A prize and certificate of training for the victors to take home.

It was a great day. I hope we'll never forget.

You'll find How I did it all HERE.

p.s. We only do friend birthday parties for the ages 3, 5, 8 and 12. For this reason I try to make them special.

This makes me happy. As a geek I'm very happy to see the focus was on the original trilogy. :)

Also, even though I'm *ahem* a "responsible adult* I would have loved to beat up on Darth Vader like that. lol

Very cute! I love the idea of a craft playing into the theme and then training for an activity. This concept could be adapted to other themes pretty easily. Love it!

At least I hope you'd like me. lol

Okay, back to the subject of this post. That party looks like little boy heaven! My son is 3, has never seen the movies, but somehow, already loves everything star wars!

What a fantastic party! I love it!
And I know what you mean about not doing the friend thing every year. When you multiply it by 4 kids, that is a TON of partying (and work)!

This is a fantastic party! Just like the kind I like to throw for my kids, where they really get to make-believe they are in the middle of their favorite story! Undoubtedly I will be throwing a star wars party for my son one of these days and I will be back for inspiration!

Thanks for linking up to the party party!
