A couple weeks ago I participated in the Sadie Shirt sew-along at Craftiness Is Not optional.
It was so much fun and only took about twenty minutes or less a night.
My littlest girl is a total stick. I have a hard time finding pants to fit her chicken legs and non existent butt. She basically lives in leggings and tights. I decided I better make her shirt a little longer so she could wear it as a dress instead. I am so happy with the outcome.
Jess did a fabulous job explaining all the steps and made the whole thing quite simple.
I think I'm finally over my fear of biased tape. My husband got me a tape maker thing last year for Christmas and I finally used it. I'm sure I'll be making several more shirts or dresses.
Of course I was thrilled to use an old skirt of mine for the fabric, so this project was free.
I can't wait to do another sew-along if Jess is up to it.

I really love the fabric and the use of black details in this dress.
Adorable!
love it! and i already have another sew along in the works! a dress :)
Another cute dress. I forgot I had a bias tape maker too, and I need some bias tape for a banner I'm making! I just need to find what box it's hiding in.
