Handmade Gifts -part 4- upholstery bags

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas.  We did. My sister in Maryland, was suppose to fly in Christmas night, but had to move it up to Christmas eve because of the weather.  I was fun/crazy to have all eight cousins opening gifts together.

Christmas Night is my favorite part of the day.  My dad works all day on a feast of prime rib, salmon, shrimp, and my favorite king crab legs.  For dessert he makes creme brulee and chocolate mousse. After dinner we gather for a prayer of thanks and open handmade gifts from each other. I've blogger about it HERE. There is always crying, we are a bunch of babies, and a couple of unfinished gifts.  My family gave some amazing gifts this year.  I'm excited to share them with you in a few days when I can get some pictures.

Until then I'll share some of my handmade gift the next couple of days.

For my mom and sisters I made upholstery bags.  I made one a couple months ago for myself and love it. I tried to find fabric to match everyones personality.

I'll be back tomorrow with another gift.

These are as nice as the Vera Bradley bags I saw in a downtown shop today! Except those weren't made with love for precious family :o)

These bags are beautiful! How difficult are they to make? Do you break very many needles?

I love these! I think the purple is my favorite. I live near a fabric store that has a great selection of upholstery fabrics and I have been wanting to make a bag like this for a while! Great job! Would love for you to come visit me at Sew Chatty and link up to Made with Love Monday. I host every week. I am leaving the party open longer this week so that people can link up multiple projects if they wish to. Hope to see you there! http://sewchatty.blogspot.com
