Last week Jess from craftiness is not optional did another sew along, this time she included a zipper. I was so excited because I've never done a zipper before and I knew she would be the perfect person to teach me.
And, because it's been a while since I've done a refashion I thought it would be fun to do one for this project.
I turned this old skirt into the adorable Charlotte Dress.
I've always loved the pattern on the skirt but it didn't work on my body, so I never really wore it.
I love the turquoise and yellow together.
There it is- my first zipper and it's even an invisible zipper.
I couldn't help myself and made some matching hair flowers.
Thanks Jess, I don't know if I could have made this step without you.

I'm looking forward to working on some more refashions for spring and summer.

Great job on turning the skirt into a beautiful dress. The yellow fabric really adds a nice accent to the design. The first zipper is always the hardest:)
It turned out lovely, and great job on the zipper! I also LOVE the colors! I just made a pair of toddler shoes in almost the same shades last night, too cool.
