St. Paddy's attire

I know holiday attire is cheesy and somewhat lame. I wish I knew why I still like making my kids wear it. For now I'll blame it on my mom and growing up in the 80's.

I walked past these plain green, $2 t-shirts and couldn't help myself. I wasn't sure what I wanted to put on them but I remembered I had a stash of green and white polka dot fabric.
Then I found THIS yo-yo shirt from thornberry

I really like the look of the sewed down edges on the yo-yo's

Of course I had to make matching skirts I wanted to use up all the fabric. What else do you do with green polka dot fabric?

They are very festive but could still be worn after the holiday.

HERE is a great tutorial for yo-yo's if your interested.

The oldest girl was at school when we took pictures, I'll have to add her later.

Check out THESE super cool parties I link to.

I love these! Those polka dots are so fun! These are a billion times better than a lame screened t shirt from Walmart. I love that they're separates and can see them worn with pinks, purples, and blues. :)
