I made Eater Dresses for the first time. I've toyed with the idea of making Easter dresses for years, but always end up finding something that I love for an affordable price. When I didn't find anything I loved this year, I decided to give it a try.
I've had the main fabric for years. I originally bought it to make curtains. Although it wasn't super ideal for a dress I was happy to finally use it. I kinda felt like Maria from Sound of Music.
I love the finished dresses.
I love the champagne color, polka dots and how the bright pink pops.
I love the simple flower and box pleats.
And I love the back.
I was so stressed trying to get this done last week. Making patterns and sewing three dresses the week my kids are out of school, was not a good idea. I swore I'd never do it again. But now looking back, dresses done and easter over, it was all worth it.
I had to share this last picture. It makes me laugh. My son thinks he's pretty hot stuff and so do his sisters.

They are BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the buttons on the back too. You are very talented :)
I really love the dresses. Nice job! Did you make one pattern and then size it or did you make a pattern for each girl?
Awww... such sweet shots!! And the dresses look great. Love the box pleats!
jealous-I dream of little girls in matching dresses. I did make my boys matching ties, but it's just not the same.
I love the box pleats and the colors, so pretty!

Kalleen-those dresses are seriously stunning! They look high end boutique-worthy! (not that I've ever set foot in a boutique..lol!) I love the combination of colors-and your Sound of Music comment!
Very sweet. Take lots of pictures. It doesn't get any easier as they get older!
I made my daughters matching cream-colored dresses one year. My older daughter replied she didn't like it. "There's no color" was her reason!
Yours have a pop of color and I'm sure the girls love to match (that willg pass quickly) Congrats on your finish and pic!
