Growing

I've been blogging so infrequently the last year, you may not have even noticed my long absence. For those who have, let me explain, our family is growing.
Soon our family of 6 will be a family of 7.

Not only is our family growing but so is my belly, and with all this growth I haven't had the strength, stomach or desire to get online.

I'm just starting my second trimester and starting to feel a little better, so hopefully I'll be back to blogging infrequently. Most of all I just want to be myself again, and creating is a big part of that.

To answer the most commonly asked questions: No, we don't know what it is yet. Yes, we will find out in about a month. We are hoping for a boy but would be happy with a girl. Our kids are absolutely thrilled to have a new sibling and I am thilled to be done having kids after this one.

I've worried about the changes that will come to our family with a new baby and wonder if I have it in me to give enough attention and love to a 5th child. Over and Over I've been reassured that the baby will be plenty loved simply by becoming part of our family. My children are constantly surprising me with acts of love toward each other. For example, yesturday, my youngest started singing "twinkle, twinkle, little star" to her big sister when she was sad and crying in hopes that she could chear her up. And a few weeks ago, my 9 year old son said he almost started crying when he watched his sister dance during a performance, he was just so proud of her.
I'm glad I've got such a great team to help me or this one might be doomed.

Congratulations! I loved reading about the chemistry between your kids. I hope my (soon to be) two will show the same love and respect toward each other.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and all the support you have around you, you are so blessed. You can tell by the comments just how much you are missed but first things first-your family.

Congratulations! And what a beautiful picture you have painted of your children caring for one another! I so hope your LO doesn't end up an only as I don't want him to miss out on that (even if it does come with an equal measure of squabbling!)

Congratulations! I have an aunt and uncle who had 5, and there never seemed to be a lack of love to go around. It sounds like you have wonderful children! I think it is normal to worry though, as I've been doing the same and we are going from 1 to 2. Our lives are going to change for sure! I must only be a week or two behind you.

Yay! I am thrilled for you and your family. I'm also glad you know what is most important...and blogging isn't. :) Wishing you less nausea, more energy, and a nap every day!
