Sharon Grace

My newest niece was born months ago and I just got around to finishing her painting. My only excuse is that she lives on the other side of the country.

I really like this one and it sounds like my sister does too.

She sent me this picture of her curtain fabric.
I've still got so much to learn about painting but I think it's my favorite thing to do right now. It's just so relaxing.
Maybe someday I can take an art class and figure out the right way to do things.
For now I hope people can find character and love in all the imperfections.

That's gorgeous and by the time you get around to taking an art class you'll probably be good enough to teach it! If that is you untrained than you have quite a talent.

GORGEOUS! I seriously thought you adhered some paper or fabric to the wood and painted the name part over it! It looks PERFECT. Absolutely beautiful!!

Wonderful job! You captured the fabric beautifully.

I'm a self-taught artist and now make my living doing it. If you like taking classes, go for it. But I took an art class waaay back in 1975 and quit painting for 20 years.

In the beginning, it took me forever to complete a painting. But I enjoyed 'solving the puzzle.'

Just keep painting. That's the main thing. Oh, and I hope you stop by sometime. One of my goals is to offer painting videos online. For now, I just do little projects.

Again - beautiful job!
