School Attire-Part One

Okay, I'm trying to get back to reality. School is starting in two weeks. We need new school clothes. I've done a little shopping, but want to make several new things from our donate pile.
I'm hoping to share these transformations over the next two weeks.

I did this one last night in about a half an hour.
Originally it was a baby doll top, from my sister. As you can see, it was a little big.

All I had to do was, move the buttons down, bring in the sides, and shorten the bottom.
I love the pears.
I love the back.
I love the big buttons,
and the big pockets.

I'll be linking HERE

I've missed your posts! :) This is darling, as usual. Too, too cute. You always make me want to pull out my sewing machine and figure out how to use it. :)

What a fabulous, fabulous idea! We're trying to minimize over here, use what we have, and give the extras away. I love inspiration!

The dress is just darling. The print, buttons, pockets... all perfect. And you have a great little model there.

After seeing this yesterday, I dreamed of it at night and awoke this morning determined to make a pattern for this. I even found some cute fabric at the store today with pears on it! Creating the pattern is what took me all day so the shirt won't be done until tomorrow. :(
