Okay I had to show you one more mail pouch. This beauty was made by my friend Chris of Pickup Some Creativity. The thing that I love about her pouches are the fabulous inset hearts. She gives a full tutorial for how to do it HERE. She even makes it look easy.
I've also had a few people ask what kinds of things I'm putting in mine. So, I thought I would show you some of the things I have lined up.
I found these straws at my grocery store. I got 5 for a $1.50.
I found these necklaces at Walmart, 4 for $1. Surprisingly my son will probably love wearing one.
I'm giving these fancy tissues to my kids tonight. I'm pretty sure they will love them because they are girly and they all have colds. I got my son a plain one from the grocery store too. these are from Michael's dollar bins.
Pencils are a good investment in our house. We do a lot of homework and a lot of drawing. I'm always surprised at how fast we go through them. These are from Target $1 bins.
I bought holiday socks for the first time this Christmas. My kids went crazy over them. I couldn't believe it. Naturally I had to get some for valentines day too. These are also from target $1 bins.
I've also been surprised at how much my kids like their love notes. I like seeing them rereading them. KIDS LOVE TO KNOW THEY ARE LOVED, SO TELL THEM.
I've already delivered things like note pads, boxes of conversation hearts and maybe a few dum-dums.
Do you have any fun ideas?

I just love target. I got all kids of socks for my dd too!
I still remember all the lunch notes my Mom gave me when I was a kid. How I wish I still had them all! Maybe you could take pictures of the notes you gave them, along with their lunch (snap with a cell phone, easy) and keep the pics for them when they are older? I would have loved to see my lunches with the notes... ! :) Love how you got so much for little $$!
Thanks for the kind words and great ideas for fillers. I must run to our target asap.
I got a couple of things for my daughter's pouch at hobby lobby. One that is really neat is something I am not even sure what it's called!! It's a doodle-type toy, where you use a pencil/pen with the pieces that come with the toy, which makes a design ... that is a horrible description but I used to use one when I was a kid, I just cannot think of the name or even a better explanation!!
If you have a hobby lobby near you though, they have some fun valentine gifts!
I just made my daughter a valentine pouch, but I designed it to be an envelope pouch. I made it out of bamboo felt and it hooks to the back of the kitchen chair as well. It was a big hit!
I'm still working on my pouches! What is your plan as far timing? You've had them up for awhile, right? I was thinking I'd just do the week of valentine's day, but now you have me thinking I might want to get them up sooner...
i started making my little backpacks last week after realizing PB didn't sell them anymore. (why are they pictured in the catalog if you can't buy them?? oh well, guess i'm saving $$ by making them...??) good suggestions for presents!
I love those robot socks! I know what you mean about love notes to kids. You can say it as much as you want but for some a note means much more. I quickly wrote up a note to my son months ago not thinking he would care too much about it. Just a little I love you and he has kept it on his dresser since. It really made an impression on him. Melts my heart to think about it.
all such cute ideas! can't wait til Sadie gets a little older. :D
I've given you a Stylish Blogger Award! http://ajennuinelife.blogspot.com/2011/01/stylish-blogger-award.html
I love the tissue packets! Great find. I was just in michaels and didn't even peak in the dollar bin. I won't make that mistake again =)
