This past weekend my sister threw a special party for her daughter. I hated to not be there, but that is the reality of living across the country from each other. We've been planning, over the phone, for the last month or so. It was so fun to finally see her all her work when she sent me some pictures.
Luckily, she was willing to let me share her party with you.
First she made back apple dolls for each of the guests.
Everyone was able to pick a doll and give her a face.
They gave her a heart and stuffed her up.
Then she was sewn shut while the girls had tea.
The tables were dressed up using lots of pink scraps of fabric and paper and all the girly decorations from my nieces bedroom.
I especailly liked how my neice wrote out each of the place cards.
Each place setting had a fancy cupcake stand, a fabric flower and a tea cup. She purchase all her tea cups at thrift stores so they could be taken home as a favor.
My sister got her husband to serve the tea, which everyone loved.
And what is a tea party with out hats.

That is awesome! Sure beats a trip to biuld-a-bear. Way more memorable & meaningful than store bought decorations or bounce houses, less expensive, and 500 times cuter! :)
What a wonderful birthday idea! It looks like it took a lot of work. I especially like your husband pouring tea in an apron! I'd have to blackmail my husband to do that!

How wonderful! I wish I could do this for my daughter's 5th birthday in the Spring, but almost all of her friends are boys!! Maybe in a couple years.
